STATE CHAMPS! High School Sports Show is a weekly, half hour television program across Southeast Michigan. Starting for the 2011-12 school year, STATE CHAMPS! will be on a new network “The CW50 Detroit”, and a new day “Sunday’s at 11:30am” – For over 10 seasons now, the show has been delivering a comprehensive look at the athletic events, lives and accomplishments of Southeast Michigan’s high school athletes. Along with providing highlights and game recaps, this show also includes features on standout programs, student athletes, coaches and much more. STATE CHAMPS! has won 3 Michigan Emmy Awards in the last 4 years for Outstanding Youth Television.
STATE CHAMPS! celebrates high school athletics, builds athletes’ sense of self esteem and strengthens the feeling of community between athletes, their families and their supporters. We pride ourselves on truly being the voice of high school sports…A voice that becomes audible when the student athletes work hard and dedicate themselves to their teammates and the schools they represent. Our mission is simple…to acknowledge the successes and achievements of you, the student athletes. With over 300 shows, STATE CHAMPS! team is lead by veterans Lorne Plant (Host/Producer) and Jonathon Kidd (Producer/Lead Camera) continue to bring you the very best coverage of high school sports in Southeast Michigan. These gentlemen manage a staff over 10 STATE CHAMPS! family members who help bring you the finished product every week.
STATE CHAMPS! is under new ownership with Lou Bitonti as the new president of the show and were now based out in Troy, Michigan at Mosaic Media owned by Mark Rottenberk.
