The list below is our current top ten candidates in our Suburban Collection High School Hockey Player of the Year.   You can vote as many times as you would like with a valid email address. Have fun and vote often!.  At the end of the season, the top vote getter will earn an automatic berth into the final four.  Simply receiving the most votes does not automatically make that person High School Hockey Player of the Year, but it does increase the players chance of winning by 20 percent.

AJ's first year with Northville. his work ethic made him an instant assistant captain. He competes in all situations and leads the team in scoring. Over the 1st 22 games played, AJ had 14 goals and 9 assists. Northville is currently in 5th place in the K-L-A-A Central Division with a 4-5-1 record.

Scott is the leading scorer in points and goals in the K-L-A-A with 17 goals and 16 assists. Overall Scott has 36 goals and 33 assists thru 22 games. He is a captain on this years squad, and has been a varsity player for 4 years. Scott has also played for Team Michigan and Michigan Elite AAA in the fall pre-season for the last two years. He also played for Team Metro West in the 2011 Meijer high school Olympic Games in Grand Rapids where he netted the game winning goal in the gold medal game. Mott finished 2nd in KLAA North Division with a 7-4 record and are 11-10-1 overall.

A returning Division 3 1st Team All Stater, in 20 games this season, Levi has a team leading 25 goals and 25 assists, with 3 power play goals and 4 game winners. Levi is committed to Northern Michigan University. Calumet is 16-5-1 the 2nd ranked team in the state in D-3.

A Returning 2nd Team All Stater, after 22 games Nolan has 8 goals with 3 game winners, 11 assists, and 40 PIM. Inside the MIHL the CC Defense currently has the lowest Goals Against at 29. CC is currently leading the M-I-H-L with a 14-2 record and 29 points. CC is the #1 ranked team in the state in D-1.

Tyler is a returning Division 2 All State Honorable Mention after leading his Bears to their 1st ever State Championship. 42 goals a season ago, through the 1st 20 games this season he has a team leading 19 goals and 11 assists including 6 Power Play Goals and 3 Game Winners. He is a member of the Michigan U18 Developmental Hockey League.

Cranbrooks leading scorer form the blue line, inside the MIHL, Cameron has 21 games played, Cameron has 5 goals and 12 assists. He has 1 game winning goal and one short handed goal on the season. Over all he has 7 goals and 14 assists. Cameron is 5th in the M-I-H-L in scoring for a defenseman. Cranbrook is currently is 2nd in the M-I-H-L standings. Cranbrook is also 2nd in Goals Against, allowing just 30 goals in 16 games. He is a member of the Michigan U18 Developmental Hockey League. Cranbrook is currently ranked the #1 team in the state in D-3.

The senior is the reigning MIHL scoring champion and was co-MVP of the league last year, to go along with his first-team all-state honor. In 16 games played, Mack is leading the M-I-H-L in scoring with 21 goals and 24 assists. Overall he has 27 goals and 31 assists. Committed to play at Michigan State. Brother Rice is currently the #1 ranked team in the state in D-2.

James returns to high school hockey after playing last season in juniors. James is leading the O-A-A in goals this season with 37. Of the 10 White Division games played, he has 12 goals and 2 assists. He is also 1st in the OAA overall in points with 43. Troy is 7-8 on the season and currently sits 5th in the O-A-A White Division.

Brett is a returning 1st Team All Stater who was actually selected as a 1st teamer in two sports. Currently, East Kentwood recently clinched the the OK Tier II championship with a league record of 10-1. Through January 19th, Brett had 21 goals and 18 assists. Brett has verbally committed to play golf at Division I Eastern Michigan University next fall.

As a sophomore Blake led Trenton to their 3rd straight D-2 State Championship. He earned Dream Team honors that year and was a 1st team All Stater in 2011. Inside the M-I-H-L Blake is currently 11-5 on the season allowing just 33 goals against, a 2.06 Goal Against Average, and a Save Percentage of .939. Overall Blake is 16-5 with 1 shutout and 1.89 Goals Against Average. Blake is also a standout on the baseball diamond having received All-Region honors and being a part of two Downriver Dream Teams. He is a member of the Michigan U18 Developmental Hockey League. Trenton is currently ranked the #2 team in D-2.
